How To Gain Inspiration & Harness Creativity

Everyone is creative in some way regardless of talent, mindset or attitude and everyone is able to come up with new, stimulating ideas or designs.  Creativity does not need to push boundaries, break barriers or change the world.  It just needs to embrace an individual’s passion and interest, stretch their imagination and awaken their deepest thoughts and emotions.

"It is by daring to do, that things are created and founded.  If you do not dare then you will never know your own capabilities."

Creative Clutter!

Arabel's Creative Clutter

Here at Arabel Lebrusan creativity is nurtured and cherished through acknowledging that the best imaginative process is born through gaining inspiration. This is the most integral part of ensuring that our designs and collections are fresh, interesting and always evolving to match consumer’s needs and desires.

There are various techniques used by Arabel and her team which are used in the design process when developing bespoke jewellery or a new collection.  All of these techniques can also be used by you to gain and collect inspiration:

  • Create a mood board:When you have a particular project to work on or a specific theme in mind, developing a mood board can be truly effective in collecting all your ideas together. They are essentially a platform for you to arrange and display various images, texts, colours, textures and materials altogether in order to collaborate all your favourite things.  In addition mood boards are particularly good if you wish to show your ideas to others as they can strongly communicate your ideas and thought processes without you, personally, having to say much!

  • Build on a singular idea/design:If you are struggling to find or develop multiple ideas or strands of creativity then do not worry. The best thing to do is focus your energy on your first, initial idea and completely immerse yourself in it; after all there is obviously a good reason why you keep coming back to it.  Take your idea and obsess over it and you will find that eventually this will expand and advance into other outlets where you will be able to utilise and harness it.
  • Keep an eye on what other people like:Especially in business it is good to keep an eye on what current and potential customers like, their style and tastes.  This is also true for any creative idea.  Even though you might think your idea or piece of work is outstanding, others may have a different viewpoint.  So it’s always sensible to keep up-to-date with current trends or even ask friends and family what they think about your creation – more often than not they may be able to offer some really useful suggestions.

"…So guys and girls do not be afraid to get creative and unleash your imagination!"

And remember, Arabel is always on hand for a face-to-face consultation to discuss your inspirations, budget and meaning behind the jewellery that you envision. Arabel specialises in making unique pieces of jewellery that will stand the test of time and be cherished by generations to come.
